Friday, October 8th, 2010One of my favorite products is teaming up with Cancer Support Community in the month of October to help raise money for Breast Cancer awareness & support. These cute pink sponges are perfect for blending makeup all day long! Another great benefit is that you can re-use them over and over again. It is a very useful tool in anyone’s kit. I have been a huge fan of the Beauty Blender sponge for a few years now and I am sure you will be too! Please check out their website for more information: www.beautyblender.net
Great Eco-Friendly Makeup Find!
Tuesday, August 10th, 2010Today I discovered my two favorite things combined into one; super soft affordable makeup brushes and actress/activist Alicia Silverstone! I have been a HUGE Silverstone fan since I was little (The Crush and Clueless) and admire her efforts as a PETA supporter. I am excited to share that Silverstone has teamed with ecoTOOLS to create and design a makeup accessories line, including a complete set of five cosmetic bags. Everything is made from help and recycled PET (a plastic made from garbage) and printed with soy-based ink. The ecoTOOLS brand is known for making incredible environmentally-friendly cosmetic brushes and bath accessories. As an avid fan of ecoTOOLS and notable environmental activist, Alicia Silverstone is a natural choice to partner with the brand for this new venture. I couldn’t be more thrilled to try out my new brushes tonight! Check out the line at Wal-Mart, Target, Ulta, or wherever ecoTOOLS are sold.
Wedding Makeup Tip of the Day
Friday, July 9th, 2010Should I Schedule a Practice Run or Just Wing It?
Always schedule a practice appointment before the wedding to make sure you like the results and the quality is up to your standards. It is important to wear a button up shirt so your face and neck is easily exposed for the artist to see your coloring. If you are tanning, the artist should be able to adjust your foundation color to how dark you are on that day. I suggest doing your makeup practice run 2-4 weeks before the big day. This allows enough time for you to ask yourself “do I look exactly the way I imagined”? If not, think about what you would like to change. You will then have time to talk with your makeup artist to ensure that you look your best on your big day.
Makeup Tip of the Day: Concealer 101

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010Wedding Skin Care Advice
While most experts suggest drinking lots of water and getting plenty of rest to ensure great skin on your wedding day, I also encourage ladies to get in the habit of exfoliating their skin. Exfoliation is key for smooth, clear, beautiful skin! A great tool to help make your skin look camera ready is the handy exfoliating Clarisonic Brush. Developed by the people who created the Sonicare Toothbrush, the Clarisonic Cleansing System uses sonic technology, oscillating back and forth at a frequency of more than 300 movements per second, to deeply cleanse, clarify and stimulate your skin. It benefits beyond just clean skin: sonic skin cleansing improves the appearance of skin tone and reduces the appearance of pore size. I recommend this product to all my brides and use it religiously myself.
Benefits Include:
- * 6 times more makeup removal
- * Leaves skin feeling and looking younger and smoother
- * Cleanses so well that products absorb better
- * Helps reduce oily areas, dry skin patches and blemishes
- * Helps reduce the appearance of visible pores

Why Book a Pro and Not Just Do the Bridal Makeup Myself?
To look and feel confident on your special day consider hiring a professional to do your makeup and your bridal party’s makeup. Nothing is more important to you personally than to look absolutely gorgeous on your wedding day. Having the right makeup application is critical. My airbrushing technique will make you look fantastic for the entire day. Also, having a professional vs. doing it yourself means less stress and one less thing you have to worry about on your big day.
Bridal Shoot
Saturday, April 3rd, 2010Last month I was asked to be a vender by offering my makeup services for a bridal fashion shoot. Here is a sneak peek of a few photos from the session photographed by Jax Creations Photography. Thank you Jackie for including me on such a fun shoot! The flowers and bouquet were provided by Nicolel at Petal Talk. These ladies do fabulous work! I also want to give a big thanks to Rosalie, the owner of Storybook Bridal in Coeur d’Alene. She was gracious to loan us a dress for the afternoon and provide a location to get ready. Her shop is quite darling so check it out!
