What a great time I had working on my bride Ashley this July up at High Country Orchard. It was a beautiful setting with wonderful company. It was a pretty hot day out too. You know when your makeup application holds well when the bride tells you later she was sweating from the heat but her makeup stayed on perfect all day! Check out the images from her wedding photographer Dino Valdez. I wish the very best for this sweet, fun couple!

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010Working away bright and early last Saturday morning! I loved working with Kristen. She was such a fun and easy going bride. When I first met her, I thought she was absolutely beautiful. Beaming in fact! It was refreshing to see a woman who wasn’t set on being a size 2 for her wedding. I think it’s great to embrace your beauty and love yourself. Kristen has all this and the confidence to match! Congrats to the newly wedded couple! Thank you for letting me be apart of such a special day.
Wedding Makeup Tip of the Day
Friday, July 9th, 2010Should I Schedule a Practice Run or Just Wing It?
Always schedule a practice appointment before the wedding to make sure you like the results and the quality is up to your standards. It is important to wear a button up shirt so your face and neck is easily exposed for the artist to see your coloring. If you are tanning, the artist should be able to adjust your foundation color to how dark you are on that day. I suggest doing your makeup practice run 2-4 weeks before the big day. This allows enough time for you to ask yourself “do I look exactly the way I imagined”? If not, think about what you would like to change. You will then have time to talk with your makeup artist to ensure that you look your best on your big day.
